Let It Snow
Let It Snow is another of my MAJOR favourites!! Totally another ‘fish out of water’ movie with a woman from Arizona arriving at a snowy ski lodge in Maine in preparation to take over the family run business and turn it into an upscale vacation hotspot for her company which is run by her no nonsense father. Along the way of planning the imminent takeover, she finds way more than she had planned on as she slowly begins to not only understand but relish in the homey goodness of family and Christmas traditions she’s never really known before. And seriously, a first date in an ice-fishing hut... what could possibly be better than that??!!!
I kind of live vicariously through this movie, even more so than most, because I have always dreamed of a Christmas ski lodge vacation... like, since I first started skiing when I was five years old..... forever ago! But, no one else in my family skis, is even remotely sporty or even barely tolerates winter and are just not ‘in’ for a winter getaway. So, I continue to wish and imagine a perfect vacation on the slopes... just as I continue to wish that one day I will find others who will want to share in a cozy mountain lodge getaway in the cold of winter, just like this one!
Not many of the hallmark movies are available on DVD but I am grateful that this one is! The waiting was hard when I pre-ordered it from Amazon but it was totally worth the wait and is always on my year’round playlist!
If you’ve seen Let It Snow and loved it... YAY! If you’ve seen it and not loved it, that’s okay, too... I will continue to be happy loving it to bits for you! And if you’ not yet seen it and it happens to be on television at some point when you are able to sit and watch... I hope you will give it a chance to become one of your favourites, too!
